At Glasgow Central Station on the last Friday of every month, the Glasgow Trussell Trust Foodbanks have banded together to shake collection buckets and raise awareness of the work they do. This initiative, led by Kyle McCormack of Glasgow NE Foodbank has proved very successful, raising over £1,500 on each of the previous months. The money raised is to cover administrative and running costs, such as the phone bill, stamps and diesel for the delivery van. Volunteers, many of whom are helping at their own foodbank during the day, are at the exits on a shift rota which starts at 7.00am and ends at 7.00pm. For details of the next collection and further information, please check out the Facebook pages of any of the |Trussell Trust Foodbanks.
